CHRISTUS Health, a Catholic Health ministry dedicated to providing innovative and quality care to communities, announced the distribution of over $3.3 million to 45+ non-profit organizations in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana. Through the CHRISTUS Community Impact Fund, four organizations across Southeast Texas received $295,000.

The beneficiaries in Southeast Texas included Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, United Board of Missions, Samaritan Counseling Center of Southeast Texas, and Family Services of Southeast Texas.

According to Paul Trevino, Chief Executive Officer of CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System, the donation is a testament to how the organization has invested in the community to help needy individuals. In 2011, the CHRISTUS Community Impact Fund became an organization-wide system initiative led by local entities that responded to the community's needs, improving their well-being and welfare.

Since its inception, CHRISTUS Health has invested over $22 million in the communities it serves. It awards funds to select organizations to aid programs supporting issues such as mental health, well-being, and food insecurity.
