Healthcare executive Paul Generale reports at the Dallas office of Christus Health, where he serves as the executive vice president and chief strategy and network officer. In this role, Paul Generale leads Christus Health’s strategy across the network of health services and the entire enterprise.
A Catholic faith-based non-profit healthcare network based in Irving, Texas, Christus Health completed the acquisition of the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center on July 1. Champion is a 98-bed hospital in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The acquisition includes an agreement to a transition that will not disrupt the hospital’s operations for all stakeholders.
Eighteen months ago, Champion started to search for a partner of like values to ensure that its community will continue to receive the best healthcare services from the hospital. The board has talked with 27 organizations. After serious consideration, research, and validation, Champion’s board selected Christus Health because of its vision for excellence and a longstanding tradition of healing applied with charity for everyone.
In a statement, Christus Health CEO and president Ernie Sadau expressed his delight to welcome Champion into the Christus Health family. “By joining forces with Christus [Health], communities gain a compassionate and committed leader, partner, and advocate in the creation of innovative health and wellness solutions that improve the lives of individuals,” he said.
